The Health and Wellness Conference and Expo (HWONFEX) 2025, now on its fourth year, will take place on September 5–7, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
This three-day event will feature a range of health and wellness products, services, and destinations from across the Philippines. It aims to promote healthier living as a sustainable lifestyle and will bring together key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.
With the theme “Go & Get Better: Regenerative Tourism Recharges All”, HWONFEX 2025 will also highlight Philippine destinations positioned for health and wellness tourism. The event will include discussions and exhibits on integrative medicine, nutrition, psycho-emotional therapy, spiritual healing, physical fitness, beauty and cosmetics, and traditional practices such as hilot and herbal remedies.
The conference will include a business-to-business (B2B) platform for health and wellness startups to network with established industry leaders, share knowledge, and explore partnerships. It will also provide opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs to learn about entering the Philippine wellness market, which the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) valued at US$43.3 billion in 2023.
Globally, the wellness tourism industry was valued at US$6.3 trillion in 2023 and is projected to grow to nearly US$9 trillion by 2028. According to GWI data, the Philippines ranks 23rd out of 218 countries worldwide and 8th out of 45 countries in the Asia-Pacific region in the wellness market.
Beyond the wellness sector, HWONFEX 2025 will also tackle topics such as workplace wellness, offering insights from human resources professionals and health experts on creating healthy, productive work environments.
HWONFEX 2025 is co-presented by the Wellness Tourism Association of the Philippines (WETAP) in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care (PHITAHC). Supporting agencies include the Department of Health (DOH), Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
